The Treasurer has announced changes to Australia’s foreign investment review framework, effective from 10.30pm AEDT on Sunday 29 March 2020, relating to monetary thresholds and timeframes for reviewing applications. Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the Act) gives members of the public a general right of access to documents of an agency and official documents of a Minister, other than exempt documents.

The Treasury manages FOI requests on behalf of the Foreign Investment Review Board. Details on how to make an application under the FOI Act can be found on the Freedom of Information page on the Treasury website.
